Is 14 months too young for potty training?

Before: I just happened to take this last night because he looked so cute with his little feet up and snuggling with his dog ("dah-doe").
After: This is how I was greeted when I when to get him from his morning nap. Notice his pajama top is next to his diaper. Upon further investigation I discovered that he had somehow managed to pee in his bed without getting his pajama bottoms wet. How did he do that? Did he know he had to pee and think it would be more fun without the diaper? Was it just a coincidence that he happened to go before he'd worked out how to get his pants up after taking off the diaper? It's a mystery. Whatever happened he sure was proud of himself!

It's Magic! What a clever child. Actually it's no surprise. Look who his parents are.

okay so I have a funny story for you...Alex used to take his diaper off ALL THE TIME. Without fail I would lay him down for a nap in the afternoon and then go in to check on him and find he had pooped, taken his diaper off, and painted EVERYWHERE in his bed and himself. You would think he would have stopped but he did it for a long time. Then comes Jacquelyn...she popped and painted her body only and did it only once. She was freeking out that her hands were dirty and that it was stuck to her. After a scrubbing in the tub she NEVER did it again. Thought I would share and hope you don't have to deal with that sort of thing. I would have taken the pee any day!!! Oh wait that did happen but always out of the bed:(

When Lily started doing that, we just wrapped duct tape around her diaper. Luckily you can now buy duct tape in clear as well as grey.

Hahaha! I love that little boy:) What a trickster! William had his diaper off the other day, but thankfully it was a dryer poop. hee hee.

Funny, smart little kids. Why is it that they are so obsessed with their bodily functions? Jack is getting so big and is as cute as always! Congrats by the way on the news of your next little one!

i think all babies should start potty training from day one.
i tell all my nieces and nephews that we can be friends when they learn how to wipe thier own butts.
actually had a funny, semi-traumatic experience with that at my sister's house.
diapers are sooo not the auntie's job!!!

Ha that's funny! Dave's Mom swears that he was potty trained at 15 months. I haven't been that lucky though!

He's so cute. And, I think it's never too early to start potty training. :) PS--are you pregnant? Somehow I missed the memo on that one. Congratulations!

I will say, I've been lucky so far to not have to experience that yet, but maybe this third child will be the one to do it all. Kids can do some pretty amazing things. What a tricky little guy.
