Our little water baby

Jack may have inherited all his physical characteristics from his dad(except his thumbs!), but he got his love of the water from his mom. (Is that genetic? I'm just going to say yes) We took him for his first swim in the ocean yesterday. We thought since he was born in Hawaii, he needed the experience as early as possible. He may not be smiling, but he didn't cry at all and after the initial shock didn't even seem to mind the cool water.

Matt was a little more brave about putting him in (Jack was also a bit more relaxed when Matt had him)(Please ignore the audio on the video...I need to learn to stop.)

He likes the bathtub the best...I love the second picture with him "flexing". He gets in the bath and kicks his legs and splashes with his arms. He doesn't get upset when his face gets wet and even turns his head and tries to drink the bath water.

He looks pretty calm about it all--glad you got him to the ocean before you leave. Can't wait to see him again. Love ya, MOM

Sounds like our sons should be good friends. Brayden is a water animal. If ever he's way fussy we just give bath and it calms him down. I don't know when he'll actually get in the ocean though. Very cute.

aw, i love how calm he is. We took little Preston to the same beach *I think* when he was 2 months and he was calm as a cucumber. The pic of you and Jackson is priceless, you look awesome by the way. And don't be embarrassed by the way you talk to Jack, it's how you're SUPPOSED to talk to babies. I think it's a law!

Oh! So cute! Yup. He for sure is a Mac! He's a natural in the water... I can tell! He's just such a cutie patoot!
And I love his swim trunks! Little man clothes are my favorite. I think I need a boy.

Don't worry about the baby talk. We all do it and regret it when we listen to ourselves played back. I love the new backdrop of your blog. It fits perfect. Your posts makes me jealous. I'm in need of some sunshine and ocean breeze.

What a cute baby! Congrats on the residency. I think you guys will love Michigan, but my opinion. We have some really good friend who moved out there last August. They live in East Lansing though, which is about 1 1/2 hours away from Midland I think. Anyways, if you have any questions or such about Michigan, I'm sure without a doubt that Lexie would be happy to answer them. Their blog is linked through ours. Their names are Brian and Lexie. They are out there while he completes doctorate school and they love it so far. They'll be there at least 3 more years as well. Just thought I would let you know that in case they can be of help in anyway. Good luck with the packing at all over the next month and the move. Sounds like you guys are in a similar boat as us with big moves. So excited to see you guys have a blog. Good luck with everything
